2012 Series Statement: New forms of the GED Tests are expected January 1, 2012. The scores from on your (current) test report cannot be combined with the 2012 series of the GED tests. By December 31, 2011 you must have earned a total passing score of at least 2250 (450 average) with no score less than 410 or you will need to take the entire 2012 series.

TEA recommends that all 5 tests be taken before any retesting begins.

***The test dates for the GED in 2010 will be as follows:
Jan. 23 (registration cut off 1/20) THE JANUARY TESTING SESSION IS FULL.
Feb. 13 (registration ends 2/10)
March 6 (registration ends 3/3)
April 10 (registration ends 4/7)
April 24 (registration ends 4/21)
May 8 (registration ends 5/4/)
June 12
July - no testing
August 7 (registration ends 8/4)
September - no testing
October 2 (registration ends 9/29)
November 6 (registration ends 11/3)
December 4 (registration ends 12/1)

Please note that we are adding a date in April in order to test more
people in anticipation of the May 2010 adult education graduation
ceremonies.

Please bring:
* Two forms of identification (driver’s license or government issued photo identification, and social security card)
* letter from a certified teacher or an adult education center indicating that you have passed the required pretest
* evaluation fee ($65 for initial testing or $10 for each retest)
* There will be a $10 “no show” fee if you reserve a seat and fail to attend. This fee applies if you cancel the day of the test.
* If you need to reschedule, please call by noon on the Thursday before the test day. This allows us to contact people on the waiting list to give them an opportunity to test.

Cell phones, purses, coats, hats, caps, pagers, food or drinks are not allowed in the testing center.
